🚀 Bitcoin Mining Could Soon Move to Space

A new idea is emerging in the crypto world: mining Bitcoin beyond Earth. Space infrastructure startup Starcloud plans to send Bitcoin mining ASICs on its second spacecraft later this year, potentially becoming the first system to mine BTC in orbit.

Investor Gali, known for backing Tesla and Bitcoin, says space-based mining could significantly strengthen the network’s decentralization and resilience. According to Starcloud CEO Philip Johnston, ASIC mining hardware is far cheaper and more energy-flexible than GPU systems, making it a practical candidate for space computing.

The company has even applied to deploy 88,000 data-center satellites, hinting at a future where orbital infrastructure could support blockchain networks.
If successful, “space mining” could mark a new chapter for Bitcoin—expanding the network beyond Earth and redefining how global crypto infrastructure operates.
