Mountaineer Shah Daulat, a resident of Shimshal, died in an accident while ice climbing in the Khyber area of Gojal, according to local sources.
Shah Daulat was an experienced high-altitude climber and had previously summited several major peaks, including K2, Nanga Parbat, Gasherbrum I (G1), and Gasherbrum II (G2), along with other high-altitude mountains.
He was known within mountaineering circles for his participation in expeditions originating from Shimshal, a region recognized for producing high-altitude climbers in Gilgit-Baltistan.
